An injection-molded update of the classic wooden crank, the Megabass Z-Crank X is designed for thick, wood cover and underwater structure. The Z-Crank X's reinforced fiberglass coffin-bill lip allows the lure to deflect off wood without snagging, creating the ultimate heavy-cover crank-bait. The deflection properties of the Z Crank X are key to its effectiveness; when the lure bounces off a piece of cover and creates erratic action, the Z-Crank X immediately rights itself. When this erratic action is combined with its high buoyancy, anglers have the perfect tools at their disposal to “crawl” through heavy cover. While wood cover is best, the Z-Crank X can also be used to great effect around docks, rocks, and grass. This lure performs best in warm, stained, shallow water, and has been shown to be particularly effective in May through September.
